Brown Butter Sea-Salted Rice Krispie Treats

1 cube salted butter
1, 10 oz package of marshmallows
6 cups of rice krispies
Pinch of sea salt (or 1/4 tsp)
13 x 9 baking dish
Parchment paper
Melt butter in medium-sized saucepan on medium heat. After it melts, continue to let it bubble and cook until it starts to turn a nice, caramel brown. (Note: It will start to smell a bit like caramel without sugar!) Turn down the burner to medium-low and start to add the marshmallows. Keep mixing and mixing, until the marshmallows have melted and thoroughly mixed with the brown butter. Turn off the burner. Start adding the rice krispies, one cup at a time, making sure all the rice krispies are coated in the brown butter - marshmallow mixture. Sprinkle a bit of the sea salt into the mixture every time you add a cup of rice krispies. When you are absolutely, positively sure that it has all been mixed thoroughly, spread the mixture into a 13 x 9 pan that has been lined with parchment paper and sprayed with a light dusting of butter-flavored Pam. You will have to press and mold it into the baking dish. It is always a big, gloppy mess that must be tamed! Let cool completely, before cutting into squares! (FYI: If you add too much butter-flavored Pam, it will make the rice krispies soggy! Don’t ask me how I know that...)
